Meet SPECTRE Women Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci

Daniel Craig’s 007 hooks up with an icy blond and fiery Italian in his mission to uncover SPECTRE in the latest vlog.

James Bond has always been a predator and protector of women, and although Daniel Craig’s 007 has the worst track record when it comes to saving the ladies, he has ample opportunity to turn it around in SPECTRE, where he hooks up with Léa Seydoux’s Dr. Madeleine Swann and Monica Bellucci’s Lucia Sciarra.

The new vlog introduces Swann and Sciarra as polar opposites: an icy blond and fiery Italian, both with secrets and links to SPECTRE, the ubiquitous terrorist organization that Bond tries to infiltrate.

Swann’s a psychologist working at a private medical clinic in the Austrian Alps (a nod to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, no doubt). She’s intelligent, sensitive and detached (there’s a clue to her identity in the latest trailer).

Sciarra’s the widow of an assassin killed by Bond: passionate yet frightened and easily swayed by Bond’s seduction, but she warns him of the danger that awaits him.
