Next year marks the 90th anniversary of Warner Bros. Pictures, and Warner Home Video is celebrating in high-fashion with a slew of new catalog titles on Blu-ray, some anniversary collections, and a terrific feature-length doc, Tales From the Warner Bros. Lot.
New to Blu will be The Jazz Singer, Driving Miss Daisy, Grand Hotel, Mrs. Miniver, and Cabaret in Q!; The James Dean Ultimate Collector’s Edition (East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause, and Giant) in Q2; House of Wax 3D in Q3; and The Big Parade in Q4. There will also be a new Blu collection of Gangster classics (Little Caesar, The Public Enemy, The Petrified Forest, and White Heat).
Plus, there will be a 100 Film DVD Collection, 50 Film Blu-ray Collection, and Clint Eastwood 40 Film DVD and 20 Film Blu-ray Collection (including a new doc, Eastwood Directs: The Untold Story by Richard Schickel). In addition, there will be The Best of Warner Bros. Animation Collections throughout the year (Hanna-Barbera in May, Looney Tunes in June, and DC Comics in August).
And there will be a Wizard of Oz 75th Collection, culminating with a new 3-D post conversion by Motion Picture Imaging.
