Trailering Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation

Watch the full trailer for Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation (July 31), which is about “the anti-IMF.”

Star Wars isn’t the only movie with Rogue in its title. In fact, according to THR, Paramount and Disney worked out an agreement after Paramount registered and cleared its title first.

Christopher McQuarrie — the master of doppelgangers — gets his shot at directing after doing a ghost rewrite on Ghost Protocol. The action is fast and furious, of course, but the mission is personal: Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Ving Rhames are joined by Rebecca Ferguson in stopping a rogue organization bent on destroying them. The very hot Robert Elswit (Nightcrawler and Inherent Vice) lenses this one, which will also have an IMAX release. Double Negative handles VFX and the Third Floor did previs.
