Trailering Lincoln

Now you can view the full trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln (Nov. 9 limited; expanding Nov. 16), following its live-broadcast Thursday in Times Square through Google Play at 4:00 pm PT.

Daniel Day-Lewis is haunting as Lincoln, conveying quiet strength and a sense of melancholy: reciting “The Gettysburg Address” in voice over with a soft pitch; listening intently to both sides of the argument about the abolition of slavery in a montage. Then Lincoln strikes like thunder to attain “The Emancipation Proclamation,” and passionately engages in his most important battle, helping define who we are today.
