Trailering Gone Girl from David Fincher

Watch the new trailer for Gone Girl (Oct. 3) and enter the chilly grasp of David Fincher once again.

The disappearance of Ben Affleck’s wife (Rosamund Pike) uncovers the dark side of their marriage and the possibility that he’s a sociopath she wanted to escape from. Fincher gets under our skin with a twist on the old Hitchcockian pursued pursuer motif.  And the House of Cards experience has elicited a valuable economy of means. Neil Patrick Harris co-stars dramatically against type. Fincher is joined by esteemed crew members as production designer Donald Graham Burt, cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth, editor Kirk Baxter, and composers Trent Rezner and Atticus Ross. Gillian Flynn adapted her book.
