Trailering Full Interstellar

Watch the new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s first foray into sci-fi, Interstellar, a celestial field of dreams opening Nov. 7 from Paramount.

Matthew McConaughey (fresh from his Oscar-winning Dallas Buyers Club) plays an engineer and single dad during a future world food crisis recruited by Michael Caine for a secret mission in space. As the tagline states in the new poster: “Mankind was born on Earth. It was never meant to die here.”

Nolan describes it as “a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding,” and is shooting partially with IMAX cameras.

Interstellar co-stars Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, and Ellen Burstyn.

Nolan’s producing partner Emma Thomas joins Obst and renowned theoretical physicist Kip Thorne is consulting on the film as well as serving as exec producer, along with Jake Myers and Jordan Goldberg.

The BTL crew includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema (Her), production designer Nathan Crowley (The Dark Knight trilogy), costume designer Mary Zophres, editor Lee Smith (The Dark Knight trilogy), composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight trilogy), and VFX supervisor Paul Franklin (The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception).
