Trailering Avengers: Age of Ultron

Get a glimpse of Joss Whedon’s darker and more disturbing Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1, 2015) in the first teaser trailer. As Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark nervously proclaims, “It’s the end — the end of the path I started us on.”

SHIELD must regroup to fight its most most dangerous threat when Stark inadvertently unleashes James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying robot (a monstrous Pinocchio freed of his strings) hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront those twins of mayhem: Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

We finally see Iron Man wearing the Hulkbuster suit and fighting the Hulk (earlier Thor grabs Stark by the throat).  There’s less fun and games on display so far. With 3,000 VFX, ILM (under Ben Snow’s supervision) has plenty of CG animation and destruction to create. Also helping out are Double Negative, Animal Logic, Trixter, The Imaginarium Studios, Clear Angle Studios, and Plowmen Craven.
