British actress Victoria Atkin stars as Evie Frye, the first female assassin of the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s newest release Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which will be available on Oct. 23rd, 2015 on PS4 and Xbox One. Atkin spent almost half a year doing both motion capture and voice over for the role. A trailer of her character was shown at the E3 press conference (watch below).
Evie Frye, along with her brother Jacob Frye, are twin assassins who employ deadly weapons and cunning to fight the oppression of a corrupt ruling class in the underworld of Victorian-era London. In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Evie and Jacob must recruit a gang to take back London for the working class through swift and brutal combat.
Atkin received accolades for her portrayal of the transgender teen Jasmine/Jason Costello on the long-running British TV series Hollyoaks. The series regular role marked the first fictional transgender adolescent on British television, and Atkin landed it only six months after graduating from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. For the role, Atkin met with Prime Minister David Cameron and Channel 4 executives to sign a memorandum of understanding to accurately portray transgender people in the media. Atkin’s other acting credits include a recurring role in the British TV series The Girl’s Guide to Depravity. Her upcoming projects include the film The Downside of Bliss.
