TCM Big Screen Classics offers Ten Commandments

In honor of its 60th anniversary, The Ten Commandments returns to the big screen March 20 and March 23, as part of the TCM Big Screen Classics series with Fathom Events

Digitally projected in its original 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio, this Paramount VistaVision production reveals every vibrant detail of the stunning landscapes, costumes and Oscar-winning VFX by John Fulton (the parting of the Red Sea is still a marvel).

This special presentation of The Ten Commandments will play at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. (local time) each day in more than 650 theaters nationwide. Filmed in Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula by Cecil B. DeMille, the epic starring Charlton Heston and Yule Brynner grossed more than $65 million at the U.S. box office in 1956— equal to more than $1.1 billion today—ranking it seventh all-time when adjusted for inflation.

TCM host Ben Mankiewicz will present all-new commentary for The Ten Commandments both before and after the feature. Tickets can be purchased online from Fathom Events.
