Jerry Beck Launches Animation Scoop

Animation historian Jerry Beck (formerly co-owner of Cartoon Brew) has launched Animation Scoop, which will be part of the Indiewire blog network, where I will serve as contributing editor, writing about animated features with interviews and behind the scenes pieces.

Animation Scoop will offer a distinctive voice with its news, reviews, and commentary. Charles Solomon (NPR, LA Times, author, The Art and Making of Peanuts Animation and many more) will be reviewing new features — as well as showcasing manga artists and anime filmmakers; computer animator Floyd Bishop will be covering the latest in video games and CG developments; author Greg Ehrbar will review DVDs and Blu-ray releases; and writer Martin Goodman will take a look at new books and TV animation.

My inaugural piece was about the 25th anniversary of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
