Final Trailering of Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Watch Rey (Daisy Ridley), a scavenger from the desert planet of Jakku, go up against Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), commander of the First Order, who wants to finish what Darth Vader started. It’s 30 years later but what’s old is new again.

“I’m no one,” says Rey, who evokes memories of Luke Skywalker. “I was raised to do one thing, but I’ve got nothing to fight for,” says Finn (John Boyega), a former Stormtrooper, who teams up with Rey in a new fight between The Resistance and The First Order.

J.J. Abrams evokes a wonderful melding of the old and new, and John Williams’ melancholy piano underscores the emotional stakes, as does Han Solo’s dour warning that “The Dark Side…the Jedi…they’re real.” ¬†Visually, it picks up where the first trilogy left off, with iconic images and familiar tropes, yet there’s a freshness as well with new design and VFX wrinkles from ILM.

“The Force — it’s calling to you.” December 18th can’t come soon enough!

Meanwhile, you can see the “Star Wars Movie Marathon” on Dec. 17th at participating theaters featuring the first six in digital 2-D, leading up to The Force Awakens in 3-D.
