Joy and anxiety are on display in the latest clips from Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie: “Sparky is Alive” and “Edgar Knows.”
First, Victor is overjoyed to learn that his experiment to bring back his beloved Sparky from the dead is a success. However, when jealous Edgar — the Igor of this very personal Frankenstein riff — threatens to expose Victor’s secret, the story takes a dark turn. There’s more than meets the eye in this rite of passage, which is starting to get great advance buzz and could be a strong Oscar contender.
