Clipping Lincoln: An American Journey

A new 20-minute behind the scenes special about Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln is available online. It was released on Apple iTunes and will air Sunday on KCBS at 9:00 am (PT). It’s an informative snapshot of Spielberg’s lifelong fascination with the 16th President and the making of the Oscar front-runner for Best Picture.

The special is the most extensive look into the making of Lincoln and the 12-year journey to bring it to the screen, featuring interviews with Spielberg, Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, the filmmakers, and Doris Kearns Goodwin, author of Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln. It’s a fascinating look into the collision of the public and private world of Lincoln.
