Bond Gets a Stylish Barbican Exhibition

How fitting that James Bond gets a design exhibition at the Barbican Center in honor of the 50th anniversary: the Barbican was a prime London location selected by production designer Dennis Gassner for Quantum of Solace. Costumes, props, set pieces, and design drawings are all on display at Designing 007 (July 6-Sept. 5): From Anthony Sinclair’s revolutionary Conduit Cut for Sean Connery to the Aston Martin DB5 to Ken Adam’s legendary sketches to the golden girl to the golden gun to Jaws’ teeth. Like Bond, it’s a sensory experience. The Barbican exhibit was co-curated by fashion historian Bronwyn Cosgrave and 007 costume designer Lindy Hemming.
